Biography
Kelly Smith in an adjunct professor in accounting. She joined George Mason in the Fall of 2019.
Kelly began her career in public accounting with KPMG in Washington DC. She later served as controller of a Savings Bank. Kelly has a long relationship with family-owned and operated small businesses. She has provided accounting services for a family-owned business in the steel industry in southwest Virginia, and she currently serves as a successor manager for a family-owned business in the real estate industry in northern Virginia. She also has experience serving as a public auditor, internal auditor, and systems administrator and has taught as an adjunct professor of accounting at both King University and American University. Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Virginia and a member of the Virginia Society of CPAs.
