Biography

As Chief Communications & Engagement Officer, Matt McQueen serves as the company’s senior communications advisor. He leads an integrated team that is responsible for the company’s global engagement and communications activities, including media relations, brand management, government relations, advocacy, executive and employee communications, and corporate citizenship. He also serves as the executive sponsor of the company’s BRIDGE (Building Relationships to Integrate, Develop, Grow, & Empower) employee resource group.

Prior to joining Peraton, McQueen spent more than 18 years with Northrop Grumman, most recently as director of communications for its former Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions and Space ISR Systems divisions. He also had responsibility for their enterprise-wide cyber/non-kinetic communications and branding efforts. He previously held senior leadership roles in strategic communications, government relations, strategic planning, and business development at Northrop Grumman.

McQueen earned his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the College of Wooster and a master’s degree in organizational science from the George Washington University where he was a Graduate Fellow. He is active in many boards and non-profit organizations and currently chairs the board of George Mason University’s Honors College, serves on the Executive Committee of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the board of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
