George Mason University Costello College of Business Appoints Brad Greenwood, Maximus Corporate Partner Professor of Business

FAIRFAX, VA (May 29, 2024) – The Costello College of Business at George Mason University, one of the largest business schools in Virginia, and Maximus, Inc. a leading provider of government services worldwide, today announced the appointment of Professor Brad N. Greenwood, Ph.D., as Maximus Corporate Partner Professor of Business.

Professor Greenwood is the Dean’s Distinguished Professor at the Costello College, where he teaches information systems and advanced analytics. Greenwood’s research examines the intended and unintended consequences of innovation at the intersection of business, technology, and social issues—notably the implications within healthcare and entrepreneurship. His research has garnered nearly 4,000 Google Scholar citations, and has been covered nationally and internationally by the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Globe and Mail, Harvard Business Review, The Guardian, Bloomberg, British Broadcasting Corporation, and more. 

“Brad’s appointment as Maximus Corporate Partner Professor of Business is an acknowledgement of his status as an eminent scholar in the field of information systems and management,” said Dean Ajay Vinzé. “He is an exemplary teacher who holds his students to the highest standards of academic integrity and professionalism, and has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the INFORMS—ISS Bapna Ghose Social Justice Best Paper Award, the Academy of Management Responsible Research Award (OMT Division), and the National Academy of Sciences Cozzarelli Prize.” 

Prior to his tenure at George Mason, he served on the faculty of the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business. His corporate experience includes nearly eight years as a deputy project manager and analyst for CACI International.
